Summer Party Menu - Regenerative Foods

I love that all of the classic summer party foods are nourishing, when sourced correctly and made with real ingredients.

By choosing REAL, REGENERATIVE ingredients, any dish will be elevated in taste, nutrients, and ability to satiate your hunger.

This 4th of July, I'm going to be truly feeding my family with our

100% Grass Fed & Finished Meats

Mobile Pasture-Raised Eggs

Raw A2/A2 Milk, Cream & Colostrum

Cleanly Grown (No herbicides, pesticides, coatings) Veggies & Berries

And I plan on serving:

Sour Cream Dip with Beef Tallow Chips & Veggies

Grass Fed Burgers & Hotdogs

Potato Salad

Angel Food Cake with Whipped Cream & Berries

Raw Milk Ice Cream

Instead of a gut-punch after dinner, I look forward to feeling balanced and with energy (and no kids jumping off the walls either)!

I love to fill up on meat! These particular ones are smaller, but we'll often eat 2 quarter pound patties together on one burger, or our ROAR .5lb patties.

We love our pellet grill - My mainstay is going 450 degrees to cook/smoke quickly.

I love using AllRecipes.com for recipe inspiration. The reviews appear to be honest, and there are a whole lot of them. I like to use highly rated recipes as a starting point for recipes I want to develop and get good at, adding my own flare. Here is a highly-rated Potato Salad Recipe from the website.

This time around, I'm curious about using Smoked potatoes. I'm going to use our pellet smoker to cook Russet potatoes from our Farm Store, the day before. This way I get extra flavor from the potatoes. Plus they'll have the chance to cool down, and I might reheat them in the oven and let them cool down again, to convert as many carbs to resistant starches, and thus help to reduce blood sugar spiking.

Also, if you have ever talked to me about food before, you know that I'm a huge advocate of an animal-based diet - for mega nutrients, health, and wellbeing.

I will go heavy on the hardboiled eggs in my "potato salad" recipe. And make sure to avoid the ever-lurking seed oils (canola oil, soybean oil, "vegetable oil") in your mayo. Why not make your own? Also be leery of avocado seed oil, as much of it is in fact not avocado oil and is instead one of the other industrial seed oils.

Our daughter has been very interested in Angels lately, so I thought it would be fun to delight her with an Angel Food Cake.  A throwback recipe, that I too remember being gobsmacked as a kid thinking the cake had been baked and placed on the table out of nowhere sacredly by angels, and must be divine to eat.

For the 4th, I will be jazzing it with our blueberries and black raspberries from the Farm Store on top, maybe as a drizzle topping for the adults plush fresh berries for the kids.

Of course, the recipe calls for lots of Copia egg whites.  I will reserve the yolks for a batch of our Raw Homemade Ice Cream, to serve with the cake (maybe adding some Colostrum too, lol, for extra health benefits).

I've been swapping out sugar in recipes for Maple Sugar and have been loving it!  We always cut the sugar called for in recipes, and using maple sugar has made eating a rich treat like this more easily digested, at least for us we can feel a big difference.

And in place of "Cool Whip" we will naturally be using our Raw Cream whipped into something even better and more satisfying. Simply add cream to stand mixer, you can add a bit of a sweetener (honey/maple syrup/maple sugar) to taste, along with a generous pinch of salt. Whip until stiff, about 2 min.

Cheers to green pastures, happy animals, nutrient-dense foods, and a happy community!

In service to you,

Caitlin
